Assignment:
Consult with producer Jason Blum and writer-director Oren Peli on publicity and marketing matters, especially tapping experience from my work on THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Work begins shortly before Paramount Pictures agrees to distribute the film and continues through release.
Actions:
Wrote the film's press notes used by distributor Paramount; arranged first photo session with the film's director to create "existing art" used in numerous publications, including The Guardian; pitched and booked multiple director and producer interviews in The New York Times (Home and Business Day sections) and a number of national and local business-oriented TV and radio programs. Offered ongoing input and suggestions to a large team of national, regional and interactive publicity, marketing and distribution executives.
